Further north, the resort of Smir is located on the coast, within 15 hectares of enthralling Mediterranean countryside and white sand beaches. For avid or budding tennis players, Smir has a tennis academy with 10 courts.

The Resort
Close to Tangiers, on Morocco's Mediterranean coast, the Club Med Smir Resort has been delighting young and old for over 30 years with its fabulous 15 hectares of grounds running along the edge of an immense white sandy beach. In a wonderful climate of sun and gentle breeze, the Resort's bungalows and its two hotels, Le Riad and Le Manar, have fine examples of forged ironwork. You'll be enchanted by Moroccan art de vivre as you relax around the pool; your more energetic moments will be taken up with water sports and excursions* into the surrounding area. Beach
A beautiful public beach several miles long, including a private section stretching over 700 yards. Defined swimming area. The beach is equipped with showers, deckchairs and parasols.

Gardens consisting mainly of palm trees, bougainvillea and laurel spread over vast lawns.

Accommodation
Resort with 334 rooms, located in 2 hotels (the Riad and the Manar) and in bungalows.
The bungalows are small, modern buildings with an upper storey, located alongside the beach or near the pool.
The Hotel Manar, with 4 floors and a lift, is located at the highest point of the Resort.
The Hotel Riad, with 3 floors and a lift, is located at the centre of the Resort, close to the pool.
Club Room
Why not opt for a ground or 1st floor bungalow room, ideal family accommodation in the midst of magnificent gardens.
Choose between the two hotels, for a Connecting Club Room that provides separate space for parents and children. You may prefer to opt for the spacious Family Room, near the main buffet restaurant.

Located at the Hotel Manar, this restaurant welcomes all generations to enjoy international cuisine from the buffet. Parents can prepare meals for their little ones in the Baby Zone. Smoking permitted on the terrace.
Le Riad
This restaurant is a must, with its Moroccan speciality buffets and typical decor. Try a delicious tajine or couscous. Open for dinner (certain evenings only). Waiter service. Also serves late lunch after an excursion or a round of golf. Booking compulsory, at Reception.
BABY CORNER special service
This Baby Zone, in the Resort's general buffet restaurant, proposes sweet and savoury baby foods and dairy products, and the equipment to prepare your babies' meals (mixer and microwave). High chairs available.

Bars:
Available all day and evening (during bar opening hours) in all the bars in the Resort.

Rendez-vous at this seafront bar from 11 pm, for a night of wild music and a great choice of cocktails.

This Massage area** has 2 individual treatment rooms and a Zen tea room. In the warm atmosphere of our treatment rooms, discover some innovative or more traditional massage techniques**. Relax in the hands of our expert massage therapists, who will stimulate specific energy points and ease tense muscles.

Baby Club Med® (from 4 months to 2 years) - Optional Extra*
You can leave your babies with our team of specialist G.O.s in the knowledge that they couldn't be in better hands. A personal welcome and, after a family breakfast, stimulating activities, meals, rest time and cuddles. The Baby Club Med programme takes a gentle approach which respects each child's biological clock, giving you complete peace of mind. Educational activities, walks and a nap before playing outdoor games. And of course, teatime is a very important moment in the day. The Baby Restaurant is open from 6.30 pm for babies and parents to have dinner together.
For information: The adult accompanying the child must be able to show that he or she meets the minimum vaccination requirements for children (child health record or medical certificate). For the Baby Club Med® the minimum requirement is the first diphtheria / tetanus / polio jab. Nappies and baby milk are not provided by Baby Club Med®.
Petit Club Med® (from 2 to under 4) - Optional Extra*
At this age, they're no longer babies, but they still need close supervision. It's the age of first discoveries, so the Petit Club Med proposes stimulating activities, walks and outdoor games; a well-balanced lunch devised specially for the needs of growing children followed by a nap or quiet time, creative activities, and of course tea time, always a favourite moment of the day! The activities follow the children's progress, divided into age groups. From 7.30 pm, after dinner with their parents, they go back to the Petit Club Med®. While parents enjoy a quiet dinner, the children can enjoy their own evening with their friends.

Mini Club Med® (from 4 to under 11) - Included in your package
Creativity and energy. At this age, children have a thirst for everything. The Mini Club Med®’s vocation is to satisfy their boundless energy and curiosity. Activities include sport, games and creative activities. Children are divided into age groups. Close to the Hotel Riad, in a green space entirely dedicated to children.
Juniors' Club Med® (from 11 to under 18) - Included in your package
Freedom and fun for teenagers. Proposed during the school holidays, it's a Club Med classic, with youngsters divided into 2 different age groups. The Club Med offers everything but imposes nothing. A free and exclusive spirit that youngsters adore. The Juniors' Club Med® enables teenagers to meet and take part in activities of their choice; in their own individual way, they get involved in life at the Resort. To enjoy a moment of total freedom, take advantage of the baby sitting service. For information: we provide a list of baby-sitting services on request. These outside service providers bear the entire responsibility for the services they provide; the Club Med provides the contact but has no resposibility for the service.
CLUB MED BABY WELCOME® (FROM BIRTH TO UNDER 2)
We’ve done everything in our power to ensure the comfort and well-being of parents and babies. Personal welcome, baby-care material available in your room (cot, changing mat, baby bath, high chair on request, bottle-warmer), sweet and savoury baby foods, Baby Zone equipped to prepare babies' meals, high chairs and/or booster cushions in the restaurant. Spare pushchairs are also available if required.
PLAYGROUND
The playgrounds, which are separate from the children's club facilities, are open to children accompanied by their parents.
