Pompadour, in central France, is well-suited to active individuals, with horse riding and tennis schools onsite. Fifteen clay tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool and a sauna ensure that there is always something to do, whether it be indulging in a favourite sport or relaxing.

The Resort
In the beautiful Correze countryside, the vast grounds of a former manor house are now home to Pompadour, a Club Med Resort designed especially for families with its hotel and the country house Le Cavallo a short distance away. Home to one of the biggest riding centres in Europe, you'll appreciate the welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Parks & Gardens
The Resort stands in superb grounds with a great variety of trees: oak, chestnut, birch and various types of fruit trees.

Accommodation
Resort with 230 rooms divided between the hotel and the Cavallo. The hotel is a 3-storey building with no lift, resembling a large manor house (most of the rooms have a mezzanine). The Cavallo is a small two-storey annex with no lift, 50 yards from the hotel.
Club Room
These rooms, with simple comforts, are on all floors of the main hotel and the Cavallo.

General buffet restaurant
This wood panelled restaurant has the rustic ambiance of a large country house. Non-smoking area.

Between Périgord and Corrèze, 60 hectares of grounds are home to an equestrian paradise: one of the most majestic riding centres in Europe, with around a hundred horses and ponies, 3 indoor schools (including 2 of Olympic size), 5 outdoor schools (including 2 showjumping rings), a 4 km (2.5 mile) bridle path winding through the Resort and a cross-country course.

Tennis Academy - Included in your package

• The exclusive teaching method of the Club Med tennis courses was designed by Serge Autexier, trainer of the French Davis Cup and Fed Cup players.
• In 1992, Serge Autexier created his "Tennis and Biomechanics" method based on the principles of the modern game, a real revolution in the world of tennis and teaching. In 1993, he founded his first Academy at l'Alpe d'Huez in France, where he prepares and trains the best French players.
• His analytical method, based on the five fundamental of biomechanics: structure, balance, muscular synergy, timing and rhythm, are also available as a method for players of all ages and levels.
• Beginners and advanced pupils alike will be able to enjoy their sport in the best possible conditions.
• Group classes for all levels and à la carte courses*, 6 days a week, give you the chance to make real progress and master your movements

Our Resort welcomes children of all ages, with children’s club facilities for the various age groups, run by professionals.

For information: for the comfort and health of all the children, and in accordance with French legislation, children under 6 years old must have a recent medical certificate stating that there are no contra-indications to their presence, issued just before their arrival at the Resort.
For information: the children's and teens clubs are open all week, except Saturdays.

Petit Club Med® (from 2 to under 4) - Optional Extra*
At this age, they're no longer babies, but they still need close supervision. It's the age of first discoveries, so the Petit Club Med proposes early learning activities, walks and outdoor games; a well-balanced lunch devised specially for the needs of growing children followed by a nap or quiet time, creative activities, and of course tea time, always a favourite moment of the day! The activities follow the children's progress, divided into age groups. From 7.30 pm, after dinner with their parents, they go back to the Petit Club Med®. While parents enjoy a quiet dinner, the children can enjoy their own evening with their friends.
The adult accompanying the child must be able to show that he or she meets the minimum vaccination requirements for children (child health record or medical certificate).
Nappies and baby milk are not provided by Petit Club Med®.
Mini Club Med® (from 4 to under 11) - Included in your package
Creativity and energy. At this age, children have a thirst for everything. The Mini Club Med®’s vocation is to satisfy their boundless energy and curiosity. Activities include sport, games and creative activities. Children are divided into age groups. One-hour shower break before dinner.
Juniors' Club Med® (from 11 to under 18) - Included in your package
Freedom and fun for teenagers. Proposed during the school holidays, it's a Club Med classic, with youngsters divided into 2 different age groups. The Club Med offers everything but imposes nothing. A free and exclusive spirit that youngsters adore. The Juniors' Club Med® enables teenagers to meet and take part in activities of their choice; in their own individual way, they get involved in life at the Resort. To enjoy a moment of total freedom, take advantage of the baby-sitting service, subject to availability. Information at Reception. For information: we provide a list of baby-sitting services on request. These outside service providers bear the entire responsibility for the services they provide; the Club Med provides the contact but has no resposibility for the service.
PLAYGROUND
The playgrounds independent of the children's club facilities are open to all children accompanied by their parents.
