The Resort
The Ixtapa Pacific Club Med Resort is set against the Sierra Madre Mountains, stretching alongside a vast sandy beach in lush tropical grounds. After a total facelift, the Resort's elegant 1940s hacienda-style architecture boasts beautifully renovated arches, colonnades and pergolas. After visiting the indoor garden and the Salon des Astres (stargazing lounge), parents can indulge in their favourite sports or visit the nearby fishing village of Zihuatanejo*, while children make the most of the dedicated areas and facilities devised especially for them.

Beach
A public beach of fine, darkish sand stretches for 800 yards alongside the Resort. There are no lifeguards, but there is a defined swimming area. Equipped with showers, deckchairs, hammocks and beach beds.

Gardens of coconut palms, mango trees, bougainvillea and vast expanses of greenery.

Accommodation
This 300-room Resort comprises a group of four buildings with two or three floors. The terra cotta tiled roofs are typical of the local architecture.

El Encanto
Entirely refurbished, this restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 5 air-conditioned lounges propose 5 different themes: the mirror room, the mask room, the indoor garden, the aquarium and the star-gazing lounge. A spacious terrace looking onto the sea, with white columns and orange trees, completes the picture. Our staff prepare a selection of low-calory dishes daily. Parents can prepare meals for their little ones in the Baby Zone. Smoking permitted on the terrace.
Le Luna Azul
This eccentrically colourful Mexican-style restaurant serves creative and inventive cuisine in a lush green environment. Looking onto the beach and coconut palms, it is open for dinner only, with waiter service. Booking compulsory. After dinner, you can prolong your evening in the bar.
The Miramar
Grilled meat dishes are the speciality of this restaurant. Open for late breakfast and outside the opening hours of the other restaurants. Dinner served à la carte, in the spirit of an Argentine steakhouse. Its spacious terrace with panoramic sea view is a beautifully relaxing environment.
The Sirena
The kiddies' restaurant, inside the Mini Club Med! Children aged 2 to 10 have a real restaurant just for them. On the menu: balanced meals, activities at certain times of day, and jealous parents!
BABY CORNER special service
This Baby Zone, located in the general buffet restaurant, proposes meals for children (sweet and savoury baby food and all the utensils necessary for preparing babies' meals).

Available all day and evening (during bar opening hours) in all the bars in the Resort.

This small outdoor bar, by the pool, serves cool drinks and cocktails, an ideal location for a refreshing drink between sunbathing sessions and dips in the pool.
The Miramar

Baby Club Med® (from 4 months to under 2) - Optional Extra*
You can leave your babies with our team of specialist G.O.s in the knowledge that they couldn't be in better hands. A personal welcome and, after a family breakfast, early learning activities, meals, rest time and cuddles. Giving you complete peace of mind, the Baby Club Med programme takes a gentle approach which respects each child's biological clock. Educational activities, walks and a nap before playing outdoor games. And of course, teatime is a very important moment in the day. The Baby Restaurant is open from 6.30 pm for babies and parents to have dinner together.
The adult accompanying the child must be able to show that he or she meets the minimum vaccination requirements for children (child health record or medical certificate). For the Baby Club Med® the minimum requirement is the first diphtheria / tetanus / polio jab. Nappies and baby milk are not provided by Baby Club Med®.
Petit Club Med® (from 2 to under 4) - Optional Extra*
At this age, they're no longer babies, but they still need close supervision. It's the age of first discoveries, so the Petit Club Med proposes early learning activities, walks and outdoor games; a well-balanced lunch devised specially for the needs of growing children followed by a nap or quiet time, creative activities, and of course tea time, always a favourite moment of the day! The activities follow the children's progress, divided into age groups. From 7.30 pm, after dinner with their parents, they go back to the Petit Club Med®. While parents enjoy a quiet dinner, the children can enjoy their own evening with their friends.

Mini Club Med® (from 4 to under 11) - Included in your package
Creativity and energy. At this age, children have a thirst for everything. The Mini Club Med®’s vocation is to satisfy their boundless energy and curiosity. Activities include sport, games and creative activities. Children are divided into age groups.
Juniors' Club Med® (from 11 to under 18) - Included in your package
Freedom and fun for teenagers. Proposed during the school holidays, it's a Club Med classic, with youngsters divided into 2 different age groups. The Club Med offers everything but imposes nothing. A free and exclusive spirit that youngsters adore. The Juniors' Club Med® enables teenagers to meet and take part in activities of their choice; in their own individual way, they get involved in life at the Resort.

BABY RESTAURANT
Adapted to the nutritional needs of children, the meals are created by the Baby Restaurant's team of specialist chefs. Located in the Baby Club Med. The G.O®s are in charge of lunch at the Baby Restaurant.
BABY ZONE
This Baby Zone, located in the general buffet restaurant, proposes meals for children (sweet and savoury baby food and all the utensils necessary for preparing babies' meals).
BABY FEEDING ROOM
Open 24 hours a day, it provides all the utensils necessary for preparing meals: mixer, steriliser (provided only on request), microwave, fridge, bottle warmer (systematically provided in the room for the G.Ms® who have reserved a Baby Club Med® or Club Med Baby Welcome® service) and additional products such as mineral water, fruit, full-fat and semi-skimmed long-life milk (baby formula milk not provided), soya milk and yoghourt.
BABY-SITTING
To enjoy a moment of total freedom, take advantage of the baby sitting service. For information: we provide a list of baby-sitting services on request. Club Med provides the contact but has no resposibility for the service provided.
CLUB MED BABY WELCOME® (FROM BIRTH TO UNDER 2)
We’ve done everything in our power to ensure the comfort and well-being of parents and babies. Personal welcome, baby-care material available in your room and/or in the baby care room (cot, changing mat, baby bath, high chair on request, bottle-warmer), sweet and savoury baby foods, Baby Zone equipped to prepare babies' meals, high chairs and/or booster cushions in the restaurant. Spare pushchairs are also available if required.
PLAYGROUND
The playgrounds independent of the supervised structures for children are accessible to children accompanied by their parents.
PYJAMAS CLUB®
The Pyjamas Club® leaves parents free to organise their evening as they wish. This group babysitting service run by experienced G.O®s in a dedicated area provides all the necessary comforts (beds, daybeds, video area, etc).
CHILDREN'S RESTAURANT
Sirena, is the children's own restaurant, within the Mini Club Med®, open for lunch and dinner. Activities are proposed during meal times.
