The Island of Bintan to the south of Singapore is full of history, marked by fallen empires and the spice trade. Its tranquil bays were long used by the Orang Laut pirates as a refuge. This is the site of the Bintan Island Club Med Resort, a haven of tranquillity and refinement combining modernity with Asian tradition. From the terrace of the Panorama Bar, lapis-lazuli blue, mother of pearl and emerald hues are a feast for the eyes, from the overflow pool to the lush gardens. The Bintan Island is also a golfer's paradise, with some of the finest courses* in Asia nearby.

Beach
The two and a half kilometre (one and a half mile) stretch of fine white sandy beach is public, but access only via the Club Med Resort. A haven of peace, just a stone's throw from the Club. The beach has deckchairs, parasols, showers and a bar. No lifeguards present.

Parks & Gardens
The gardens have palm trees and numerous species of tropical plants. There are ornamental lakes, and a magnificent waterfall that flows into the swimming pool.

Accommodation
The Resort has 295 rooms divided between small 3-storey buildings. Comfortable and modern, built in the local style, the buildings make great use of exotic wood and local craftwork.

The Waterfall
Located on the 2nd floor of the main building, this restaurant offers you a wide selection of international dishes at the buffet. Our team prepares a selection of low-calorie meals daily, and local specialties for you to discover. Parents can use the baby corner to prepare meals for their little ones. There is one smoking area inside this non-smoking restaurant.
The Terrace
Located at the water's edge, this intimate restaurant offers a magnificent view over the South China Sea. Serves breakfast and lunch, and can cater for late lunches, for golfers after a morning on the golf course, for example. Also open some evenings, tables must be booked for evening meals, at Reception. The terrace is a smoking area.

Bars:
Available all day and evening (during bar opening hours) in all the bars in the Resort.

Petit Club Med® (from 2 to under 4) - Optional Extra*
At this age, they're no longer babies, but they still need close supervision. It's the age of first discoveries, so the Petit Club Med proposes early learning activities, walks and outdoor games; a well-balanced lunch devised specially for the needs of growing children followed by a nap or quiet time, creative activities, and of course tea time, always a favourite moment of the day! The activities follow the children's progress, divided into age groups. From 7.30 pm, after dinner with their parents, they go back to the Petit Club Med®. While parents enjoy a quiet dinner, the children can enjoy their own evening with their friends.
For information: The adult accompanying the child must be able to show that he or she meets the minimum vaccination requirements for children (child health record or medical certificate). Nappies and baby milk are not provided by Petit Club Med®.
Mini Club Med® (from 4 to under 11) - Included in your package
Creativity and energy. At this age, children have a thirst for everything. The Mini Club Med®’s vocation is to satisfy their boundless energy and curiosity. Activities include sport, games and creative activities. Children are divided into age groups.
Juniors' Club Med® (from 11 to under 18) - Included in your package
Freedom and fun for teenagers. It's a Club Med classic, with youngsters divided into 2 different age groups. The Club Med offers everything but imposes nothing. A free and exclusive spirit that youngsters adore. The Juniors' Club Med® enables teenagers to meet and take part in activities of their choice; in their own individual way, they get involved in life at the Resort. Proposed throughout the year.

We’ve done everything in our power to ensure the comfort and well-being of parents and babies. Personal welcome, baby-care material available in your room and/or in the baby care room (baby bed, changing mat, baby bath, high chair on request, bottle-warmer), sweet and savoury baby foods, Baby Zone equipped to prepare babies' meals, high chairs and/or booster cushions in the restaurant.
