Trou Aux Biches a new luxury Mauritius hotel

The new Trou Aux Biches hotel has re-opened its doors following one of the most extensive redevelopment programmes Beachcomber Hotels has ever undertaken and is set to join our luxury Mauritius hotels choice.

With a beautiful location, on one of the best beaches in Mauritius, we’ve stuck to Trou Aux Biches essence of offering accommodation in Mauritian style chalets, but with the new opening, will also be able to offer luxurious 2 and 3 bedroom villas.

Facilities at the resort will include six restaurants, numerous pools set within the gardens and a vast range of land and water sports, the new Trou Aux Biches is set to be more appealing than ever.

Meal Plan: Breakfast and evening meal (Bed and breakfast if staying in one of the superb villas). Dinner is either buffet or daily Chefs Menu, in selected restaurants only, with á la carte dishes available at a supplement. Occasionally a restaurant may close for a group booking or during Low Season.

One of the highlights of dining at Trou Aux Biches is the fact that as part of your halfboard accommodation you can dine at all 6 restaurants rather than being limited to just one or two choices.

Dress Code: During the day the dress code is casual, during the evening the restaurants prefer guests to be smart-casual so shirts and trousers (full length) for the men.

Non-Smoking Policy: Each restaurant features a smoking area and non-smoking section. Smoking will, however, be permitted in all bars.

L'Oasis
Open 7 days a week L'Oasis overlooks the beach and sea serving international cuisine with live cooking stations. Open 07:30 - 10:00 for breakfast, 12:30 - 14:30 for lunch and 19:00 - 22:00 for dinner. Themed buffets. Seats 350.

Le Deck
Beach restaurant serving seafood specialities. Open 12:00 - 15:00 for a la carte lunch and 19:00 - 22:00 for dinner (half board & chefs daily menu). Seats 100.

Blue Ginger
Trou Aux Biches Thai restaurant. Open 6 days a week for dinner (chefs daily menu) 19:00 - 22:00. Available for guests 12 years and over. Seats 80.

Mahiya
Indian restaurant. Open 6 days a week for dinner (chefs daily menu) 19:00 - 22:00. Available for guests 12 years and over. Seats 60.

La Caravelle
International gastronomic restaurant. Open for breakfast 07:30 - 10:00, a la carte lunch 12:30 - 15:00 and dinner (á la carte and chef's daily menu) 19:00 - 22:00. Seats 120.

Il Corallo
Italian restaurant open 6 days a week for a la carte and chefs daily menu dinner from 19:00 - 22:00. Seats 80.

Bars
L’Oasis Bar
The main bar overlooking the swimming pool and lagoon, specializing in tropical cocktails. Open from 10:00 to 01:00. Tea, coffee and pancakes are served from 15:30 to 17:00.

Caravelle Bar
Located close to the beach, the perfect place to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets on the island. Here you can enjoy a selection of house-special rum cocktails, cigars and champagne. Open from 10:00 to 01:00.

Half-Board Plus
The stunning new Trou aux Biches will now also offer Half-Board Plus. When you upgrade to Half-Board Plus at Trou aux Biches you’ll not only enjoy breakfast and dinner but also a fantastic two course lunch at La Caravelle restaurant. A drink is included with your lunch, so too is a bottle of wine with your dinner.
