A luxury family hotel in the Vaudoise Alps. One of Europe's first ever ski resorts, this Swiss resort helped launch the popularity of winter sports during the "Roaring Twenties". The small rack railway dates back to the resort's origins, as does the elegant hotel that is home to the Club Med.

With its outdoor heated swimming pool in a beautiful, south-facing setting, its Turkish bath and speciality restaurant, the hotel offers warm and cosy comforts.

Villars-sur-Ollon has something for the whole family, from action-packed skiing to tasting local produce and relaxing strolls to nearby Lake Geneva.

Accommodation
The Villars Palace is a 1920s building, its restaurant, lobby and theatre are listed buildings. The hotel has a wide variety of rooms (215 in total), on six floors with lift, and a garden level.

A comfortable and elegant Club or Family Club Room, on all floors of the hotel. You might want to opt for a south-facing room.

Le Chamossaire
This restaurant welcomes you for all your meals in its magnificent setting. The grand dining room is a listed building, with its vast carved wooden ceilings, 5 antique chandeliers (each one has 400 light bulbs) and arched windows with period curtains. Specialities from around the world served at the buffet. Non-smoking restaurant. Tables for 2 to 8 people; there are high chairs and booster cushions for babies.

Le Pillon
This Swiss speciality restaurant has spectacular views in a contemporary setting. Booking compulsory, at Reception. Waiter service. Non-smoking area. Tables for 2 to 8 people; there are high chairs and booster cushions for babies.

Le Bouquetin
Enjoy lunch in this restaurant in the heart of the mountains. A large wooden chalet with a beautiful view over the valley from the terrace. You can either ski there or go by the mountain railway, which stops just outside. Non-smoking restaurant. Tables for 4 to 12 people.

BABY CORNER special service
This baby corner, in the main buffet restaurant, proposes baby foods and all the equipment necessary for preparing your baby's meals.

Bars:
Available all day and evening (during bar opening hours) in all the bars in the Resort (including the nightclub).
Drinks included (served by the glass and in the bars only): Water, fruit juices, sodas, hot drinks, cocktails with and without alcohol, local and/or international spirits, wines. Sweet and savoury snacks
Drinks not included: Champagne, VSOP and XO spirits, bottled and canned drinks (available in certain Resorts from vending machines and/or the Club Med boutique®), certain super-premium brands and bottled wines proposed à la carte in some of our restaurants and bars.

This bar is made entirely of wood. Snacks served.

The "bar d'altitude"
In the le Bouquetin restaurant, this is the bar for "lunch in the mountains."

Sports & Activities
This Club Med Resort will fulfil everyone's holiday desires. Children and adults alike can pick and mix activities to create the perfect combination between sports, relaxation, partying, fitness and discovery.

Ski Domains: Villars-Gryon and Diableret-Meilleret-Isenau

• Altitude between 3,000 m and 1,250 m.
• 35 ski lifts; 10 snow cannons; 2 snowparks
• 100 km of ski runs: 3 black ; 27 red ; 20 blue ; 44 km of cross-country ski trails.

For downhill skiing: to reach the slopes of Villars, Iseran and Gryon, you can take the mountain railway about 50 m from the hotel (about 20 minutes). A Club Med bus goes to the slopes of Meilleret-Diablerets (about 20-30 minutes).

NB: for the Diablerets glacier, you have to buy an additional ski-pass. Prices given as an indication:
the "petit forfait" (100 km of slopes, Villars/Les Diablerets without glacier): 49 Swiss Francs (roughly 30 Euros) per day
for the "grand forfait" (225 km of slopes, Villars/Les Diablerets with glacier): 58 Swiss Francs (roughly 35 Euros) per day

Alpine skiing

Mountain railway 50 yards from the hotel, gets you to the slopes (Villars, Diablerets and Gryon) in about 20 minutes.
Professional instructors who know the ski domain by heart will guide you down the slopes best suited to your skills, to ensure you progress safely and surely in the best possible conditions, in small groups of 12 people.

Ski lift pass included
NB: if you wish to ski on your day of arrival, you can purchase a one-day pass, on site. For the glacier des Diablerets you need a separate pass.

Organisation of tuition for a "standard" week:

• From age 4, our group lessons last the whole day, for a period of 5 days and begin the day after main arrival day

A personal welcome and, after a family breakfast, early learning activities, meals, rest time and cuddles. Giving you complete peace of mind, the Baby Club Med programme takes a gentle approach which respects each child's biological clock. Educational activities, walks and a nap before playing outdoor games. And of course, teatime is a very important moment in the day. The Baby Restaurant is open from 6.30 pm for babies and parents to have dinner together.
For information: The adult accompanying the child must be able to show that he or she meets the minimum vaccination requirements for children (child health record and medical certificate). For the Baby Club Med® the minimum requirement is the first diphtheria / tetanus / polio jab.
Nappies and baby milk are not provided by Baby Club Med®.

Petit Club Med® (from 2 to under 4)

At this age, they're no longer babies, but they still need close supervision. It's the age of first discoveries, so the Petit Club Med proposes early learning activities, walks and outdoor games; a well-balanced lunch devised specially for the needs of growing children followed by a nap or quiet time, creative activities, and of course tea time, always a favourite moment of the day! The activities follow the children's progress, divided into age groups. From 7.30 pm, after dinner with their parents, they go back to the Petit Club Med®. While parents enjoy a quiet dinner, the children can enjoy their own evening with their friends.

"Learn to ski and the pleasures of snow" course

Creativity and energy. At this age, children have a thirst for everything. The Mini Club Med®’s vocation is to satisfy their boundless energy and curiosity. Activities include sport, games and creative activities. Children are divided into age groups.

Juniors' Club Med® (from 11 to under 18)
Included in your package
Freedom and fun for teenagers. Proposed during the school holidays, it's a Club Med classic, with youngsters divided into 2 different age groups. Club Med offers everything but imposes nothing. A free and exclusive spirit that youngsters adore. The Juniors' Club Med® enables teenagers to meet and take part in activities of their choice; in their own individual way, they get involved in life at the Resort.

BABY RESTAURANT
The meals are devised by the Baby Restaurant team of specialist chefs, to satisfy babies' specific needs. Restaurant located in the Baby Club Med®, open for lunch and dinner 6 days a week. Buffet specially prepared for infants with starters, meat, fish, vegetables, purées, soups, cheese and desserts. All the equipment necessary for preparing babies' meals (microwave, bottle warmer, blender). High chairs also available. At the Baby Club Med®, the GO®s take charge of lunch, but parents can share it with their children if they wish. The restaurant is also open to babies who are not enrolled at the Baby Club Med®.

BABY CORNER
This baby corner, in the main buffet restaurant, proposes baby foods and all the equipment necessary for preparing your baby's meals.

BABY FEEDING AND EQUIPMENT ROOM
Open 24 hours a day, it provides all the utensils necessary for preparing meals: blender, steriliser (provided only on request), microwave, fridge, bottle warmer (systematically provided in the room for the GMs® who have reserved the Baby Club Med® or Club Med Baby Welcome® service) and additional products such as mineral water, fruit, full-fat and semi-skimmed long-life milk (baby formula milk not provided).

PLAYGROUND
The playgrounds separate from the children's club facilities are open to all children accompanied by their parents.

CLUB MED BABY WELCOME® (FROM 4 MONTHS TO UNDER 2)
We’ve done everything in our power to ensure the comfort and well-being of parents and babies. Personal welcome, baby-care material available in your room and/or in the baby feeding and equipment room (cot, changing mat, baby bath, high chair on request, bottle-warmer), baby foods, baby corner equipped to prepare babies' meals, high chairs and/or booster cushions in the restaurant.

Spare pushchairs are also available if required.

Clean Art Planet at Mini Club Med®
Clean Art Planet raises children's awareness of the environment. This original activity focuses on the objects that find their way into the sea and are then rejected by the waves: plastic bags, bottles, flip flops, and so on are used in a series of workshops that focus on art and colour, putting emotion in the limelight rather than right and wrong! Once the objects have been collected from the beaches by adults, sorted according to object and colour and washed, the Mini Club Med® can get on with the creative side of the activity, during which the children invent objects and stories, do photography, create large-scale works of art and put on exhibitions.
The activity is run by GO®s. *For Club Med Resorts that are not by the sea, the objects used are recyclable waste such as disposable cups, straws, corks, etc, from the Resort kitchens and bars.

At Mini Club Med®, "Happy Nature Box" invites children aged 4 to under 11 to discover nature through three fun activities:

• Happy Nature Box "energy": through the natural energy of Water, Wind, Earth and Sun, children will learn to get their fill of positive energy!
