The magical beauty of Switzerland for a family holiday. Back in the 1930s, the little rack railway took wealthy winter sports enthusiasts to Wengen, and the resort has retained its elegant atmosphere, grand hotels and jingling sleighs ever since. Club Med® built its Resort here in 1976, just outside the charming village, which lies in the heart of the largest massif in the Alps. It's the perfect base for exploring the surrounding mountains (the Jungfrau is one of the most famous), while your children have a great time at Mini Club Med®. After a day in the open air, settle down and relax in the cosy lounges of the elegant Art Deco hotel.

Accommodation
A 207-room hotel comprising two buildings linked by a corridor. It is located in the heart of the Resort. The central section is a 1930s Art Deco building, to which a wing was added in the 1970s. There is a more recent annexe.
Club
A functional Club room offering simple, honest comfort. Edelweiss Club Rooms are situated in the annexe, linked by a covered corridor to the main building. Additional options include a comfortable and elegant "Palace" Club room. These are located throughout the main hotel, and are available with view over the valley.

Restaurants:
Delicious, creative cuisine and impeccable table art. Our chefs pull out all the stops to ensure you have a fabulous and entertaining meal. FOR INFORMATION: The speciality restaurant may be closed at certain periods.

General buffet restaurant
A grandiose setting where young and old can enjoy a great selection of international dishes from the buffet. Our team also prepares a daily selection of low-calory dishes. Non-smoking restaurant. Tables for 2 to 8 people; there are high chairs for babies.

Le Refuge
This speciality restaurant offers dishes such as fondue, with different local cheeses, and pierrade. On level -1 of the Resort, it provides an intimate setting for evening meals. Booking compulsory, at Reception. Waiter service. Non-smoking restaurant.

The high-altitude restaurant
This high-altitude restaurant means you can get maximum benefit from your day's skiing. Stock up on vitamins before hitting the pistes. Non-smoking restaurant. Open certain days only. Access depends on your skiing ability. Tables for 8 people.

BABY CORNER special service
This baby corner, in the main buffet restaurant, provides a special service for babies, with sweet and savoury baby foods and all the equipment necessary for preparing your baby's meals.

Bars:
Available all day and evening (during bar opening hours) in all the bars in the Resort (including the nightclub).
Drinks included (served by the glass and in the bars only): Water, fruit juices, sodas, hot drinks, cocktails with and without alcohol, local and/or international spirits, wines. Sweet and savoury snacks
Drinks not included: Champagne, VSOP and XO spirits, bottled and canned drinks (available in certain Resorts from vending machines and/or the Club Med boutique®), certain super-premium brands and bottled wines proposed à la carte in some of our restaurants and bars.

Main bar
In the centre of the Resort, close to Reception, this friendly and relaxing bar serves snacks all day. Non-smoking area.

Kleine Scheidegg and Männlichen ski domains

• At the foot of the Eiger, between 2 399 m and 950 m altitude.

• 110 km of ski runs: 6 black ; 18 red ; 8 blue.
• 12 km of cross-country ski slopes.

To reach the slopes, the téléphérique, just 5 minutes' walk from the Club, links Wengen to Männlichen in 5 minutes OR you can take the rack railway from Wengen station (600m from the hotel), direction Kleine Scheidegg, which takes 25 minutes.

Alpine skiing

To reach the slopes, a téléphérique gets you from Wengen to Männlichen in 5 minutes (5 minutes' walk from the Resort) or you can take the mountain railway to Kleine Scheidegg (25 minutes), 650 yards from the Resort. All the sensations of the ski slopes, at your own pace. Professional ski instructors who know the ski domain by heart will guide you down the slopes best suited to your skills, to ensure you progress safely and surely in the best possible conditions.

A test on the first morning's skiing will establish each skier's level and ensure he or she is put in the right class

Organisation of tuition:

• Our group lessons last the whole day, for a period of 5 days
• Small groups of around 12 people
• To guarantee beginners' progress, they are expected to start lessons the day after their arrival
• If you book a weekend (Friday evening to Sunday) or long weekend stay (Thursday evening to Sunday), you can ski at your own pace, there are no skiing lessons included.
• For stays of one week, skiing lessons begin the day after main arrival day.

Children & Teens
Our Resort welcomes children of all ages, with children's club facilities specifically devised for the different age groups and run by professionals.

Petit Club Med® (from 2 to under 4)
Optional Extra*
At this age, they're no longer babies, but they still need close supervision. It's the age of first discoveries, so the Petit Club Med proposes early learning activities, walks and outdoor games; a well-balanced lunch devised specially for the needs of growing children followed by a nap or quiet time, creative activities, and of course tea time, always a favourite moment of the day! The activities follow the children's progress, divided into age groups. From 7.30 pm, after dinner with their parents, they go back to the Petit Club Med®. While parents enjoy a quiet dinner, the children can enjoy their own evening with their friends.
For information: The adult accompanying the child must be able to show that he or she meets the minimum vaccination requirements for children (child health record and medical certificate).
Nappies and baby milk are not provided by Petit Club Med®.

Mini Club Med (from 4 to under 11)
Included in your package
Creativity and energy. At this age, children have a thirst for everything. The Mini Club Med®’s vocation is to satisfy their boundless energy and curiosity. Activities include sport, games and creative activities. Children are divided into age groups.

Juniors' Club Med® (from 11 to under 18)
Included in your package
Freedom and fun for teenagers. Proposed during the school holidays, it's a Club Med classic, with youngsters divided into 2 different age groups. Club Med offers everything but imposes nothing. A free and exclusive spirit that youngsters adore. The Juniors' Club Med® enables teenagers to meet and take part in activities of their choice; in their own individual way, they get involved in life at the Resort.

We’ve done everything in our power to ensure the comfort and well-being of parents and babies. Personal welcome, baby-care material available in your room and/or in the baby care room (cot, changing mat, baby bath, high chair on request, bottle-warmer), sweet and savoury baby foods, Baby Zone equipped to prepare babies' meals, high chairs and/or booster cushions in the restaurant.

Spare pushchairs are also available if required.
